Trains to and from Fiumicino Airport

General Information

Trains to and from Fiumicino Airport are run by Trenitalia.  

When searching journeys on the Trenitalia website, use the Italian spelling of city names; for example Rome (English) is Roma (Italian), Venice (English) is Venezia (Italian).  If you are unsure of the Italian spelling, use Google – example search would be ‘Venice in Italian’.

Leonardo Express

 This is a non-stop journey from the airport to Roma Termini Station.  

It leaves every 15 or 30 minutes and takes approximately 32 minutes.

Regional FL1 Train 

This train stops at multiple stations and departs every 15 minutes during the week and 30 minutes on weekends and holidays.

COTRAL

This bus stops at: Piazza dei Cinquecento, Rome Tiburtina Railway Station, Cornelia Station (Metro A),  Eur-Magliana Station (Metro B), Ostia – Piazza Sirio and Piazza Stazione.

This bus leaves every 30 minutes and stops: Termini Station (Via Marsala).

Return tickets purchased in advance must be presented at the onset of the outbound journey so the driver can exchange it for the return ticket.

ATRAL-SCHIAFFINI

This bus leaves every 30 minutes and stops at: Termini Station (via Giolitti 34/36). 

Tickets can be purchased online, from an authorised agent inside the Bus Station at Terminal 3, or on board the bus.

Taxis to and from Fiumicino Aiport

USE ONLY AUTHORISED TAXI COMPANIES

Authorised taxis are white, with a ‘TAXI’ sign on the roof. There will also be a symbol of the Municipality on the front doors and the licence number on the doors, back and inside the vehicle.

Fares are set at fixed rates for some destinations, for example to Rome City Center (within the Aurelian Walls) is €48. Fixed rates can change so check the Municipality of Rome Taxi Fare List before traveling.
