About the National History Museum of Latvia - LNVM
At the National History Museum of Latvia, visitors can learn about the first settlers of Latvia and how the country has evolved through the centuries. Many ancient artifacts are displayed throughout the museum, such as: Strong Age art, various tools used during the Earliest Iron Age, depiction of the landscape at the different points in history, and Sacral Art. A permanent exhibition, called ‘The Sacral Art’, displays a unique collection of decorative sculptures and painting from the 14th century to the 1920’s. A new exhibition, called Latvia’s Century, will be on display from May 2018 to early 2021. This exhibition details the last 100 years of life in Latvia, including displays detailing the Latvian people, their land, and their country.
