Old Town Hall & Astronomical Clock

About the Old Town Hall & Astronomical Clock

Built in 1338, Old Town Hall is full of amazing history that will fascinate all those who visit. The beautiful Gothic Old Town Tower has the Astronomical Clock, known as the Orloj, on one side. The clock was first recorded in historical documents on October 9, 1410. Its’ dial represents the position of the Sun and Moon in the sky while displaying Catholic saint statues and Apostles throughout the day. Although the clock is undergoing repairs until August 2018, visitors can still explore the historic halls, tower and underground areas.
